The Old Stable is in Marhamchurch, a small village about a mile inland from Bude and stands overlooking our peaceful garden. It has its own private walled patio with hardwood garden furniture and a gated fence, making it secure for young children. In the summer months there are lots of flowers in pots and in the raised beds making it the perfect place for al fresco meals. There is a great barbeque which is ready for you to fire up and grill the local catch of the day.
Careful renovation of The Old Stable, keeping the character wherever possible has resulted in a Cornish yet contemporary living space. The comfortably furnished living room has a wood burning stove for the winter months. A local craftsman built the staircase leading up to a small landing and the two bedrooms.
Both of the bedrooms have beamed ceilings. The double bedroom has been carefully furnished with a mixture of old and new and it has an en suite shower room. The twin bedroom has two hand crafted single beds (made by the same local craftsman) which can be linked together to make a king sized double bed if required. Downstairs the sofa bed is provided for more flexibility with sleeping arrangements.
